Democrats are Disgusting!
A few Democrats seem capable of statesman-like behavior. I would say that Senators Clinton and Dodd fit the mold pretty well. Then there’s majority leader Harry Reid. This man has the nerve to impugn Senator McCain’s motives for wanting to be a part of Senate business and even going as far as suggesting, “everything was fine until he showed up.” It is a complete travesty that Harry Reid could say such a thing. Things are not fine and McCain is not the reason that the deal has not happened yet.
McCain merely proposed that he and Obama head back to Washington to finish a deal on a controversial bailout package and he gets a load of crap from Democrats and their media allies. Bush did the right thing by inviting both candidates to the table. The appearance of bipartisanship is important at this time. Furthermore, the media focus on McCain covers for Obama’s less than stellar performance. One minute he says that “we need to act now,” and the next he says “more work needs to be done.” How’s that for specifics? How is that leadership? Why isn’t anyone questioning Obama harder about what he thinks about this. He’s just trying to sit on the fence and pretend he has a handle on the issues, when it is clear he knows nothing and has no substantive contribution to make on this banking bailout proposal.
One things should be clear to anyone that is paying attention. We should not have any confidence in Harry Reid or Barack Obama to lead this country. Let’s hope for a miracle turnaround for the Republicans. I can’t stand the thought of the Democrats controlling the Executive and Legislative branch with these clowns at the top.
