Obama’s radical spiritual guru part 2

So Obama finally starts getting some of much deserved negative press regarding his pastor and mentor, Jeremiah Wright. This is the same man that has said, among other things, that the USA deserved 9-11, that our country is irredeemably racist, etc. Then Obama has to make a carefully staged speech at Independence Hall in Philly to manage this ‘new’ image problem. He made pains to denounce the message but not the messenger, and all in all it was another slick performance by a master actor.

However, let’s really look into what this means for an Obama administration; heaven forbid this should actually happen. Suppose that early in President Obama’s term there is a terror attack on the scale of 9-11 and the next day our Commander-in-Chief attends church where Pastor Wright is preaching. Suppose Wright tones down his rhetoric a little bit, and only kind of implies that the USA had it coming. What would the American people think of that? How would Mr. Smooth handle this situation as President?

Of course Jeremiah Wright has been saying these sorts of things for a long time and Obama just now denounces the comments. If he really thought these comments were awful, he would have distanced himself from this hateful preacher a long time ago. How can we have a President that seems to believe the worst about America? Not that he would ever express those views openly, but deep down he must believe some of it. Let’s keep this man out of the oval office!
