All in a week’s work for Comrade Obama!

Sometimes I just can’t believe what is happening. Admittedly, nothing terrible has actually happened as a result of this President’s speechifying and sucking up to the worst elements of humanity, but I fear for the future when the President does all of the following in one week:

• Speaks to a Russian audience and validates the Soviet Union’s view of the cold war instead of America’s superiority in this long contest of ideas.
• Gets his photo opportunity with one of the dictators that endorsed his run for candidate, Kadhafi of Libya.
• Backs the far left Organization of American States in its desire to restore the Chavista President of Honduras
• Continues to insist that his version of the New Deal, AKA “The Stimulus” is working, even as unemployment rises beyond projection

All this while backing policies to raise energy costs and devising various schemes to increase taxes during this terrible recession. The President, as I expected, has not pursued a single agenda item that could be considered pro-economic growth. His severe leftward slant and economic illiteracy is mind-boggling and I don’t see this asshole waking up and shifting course. Hopefully the majority of Americans will finally realize what a monster we have created.

A Summary of Obama’s recent treachery!

So much to write about in so little time! Within the span of a few weeks Obama has shown reluctance to criticize the evil Islamo-facists in Iran while at the same time he is quick to call for the reinstatement of the socialist Chavez wannabe in Honduras. With this juxtaposition of these statements from Obama, it is clear now more than ever that Obama’s true loyalty is with the anti-American left. Seriously, how could this guy get away with this?

Then, there is the subterfuge of the Obama health care plan, the Cap and Trade fiasco and the endless borrowing and spending that will drive this country down the road to ruin. The sad thing is that most of the supporters of this President are giving him too much of a chance and they are obviously distracted by his charm, the stupid media and the endless coverage of Michael Jackson. The 53% of the country that approves of the President are the problem. I dream of the day when it becomes socially unacceptable to profess faith in Obama, kind of like it was to support Bush a few years ago. Let’s do everything we can to gut this guy of all political capital and send him packing back to Chicago in disgrace! At the very least, we need to get rid of many of these Democrats by 2010 or this country is in trouble.

What a disgrace!

I can no longer maintain my silence about this disgraceful administration. After months of no action, this blog is about to get much more active.

The President of the United States (POTUS) is supposed to be alternatively known as the Leader of the Free World (LOTFW). However the latter title certainly no longer applies and I’m not so sure about the former. I’m thinking about a new acronym such as IITOO, which stands for Idiot In The Oval Office. Anyone is free to add there own idea.

This President has lost the honor of being called LOTFW after pathetic attempts to pacify Arab extremists by casting blame on Israeli Settlements and allowing Iran to crack down on Democracy while inching closer to a Nuclear weapon. Even the European Union has issued stronger condemnations of Iran!

In my dreams I see John McCain as POTUS and LOTFW. Someone in Congress has to step up and end this awful weakness in the face of evil. I lend my support to the Green Revolution in Iran and hope Congress will at least do something symbolic to highlight the pathetic weakness of IITOO.

Why I haven’t written in a while

A number of people, including anonymous readers and friends have asked about why I’m not blogging anymore on this Site. Well the answer is simple. I don’t want to spend the time on it now that BO is the President. Surely, there is plenty to write about. I could easily write a 1000 words about the encounter with Hugo Chavez, but I’m trying to ignore politics (because it is incredibly negative) and focus on my personal life. The point of this blog was to try to fight the Obama propaganda machine and prevent his election. Now that his in, there is no point.

Just to be clear, I do not think Barack Obama is fit for the office of President. The first couple of months have done much to confirm my suspicions about the kind of man he is. It seems like a repeat of Carter, and I only hope that Americans will wise up and vote Republican next time in overwhelming numbers.

He actually said “economic growth!”

After ignoring the phrase during the entire 2-year election cycle, President-elect Obama finally said we need “economic growth” at a press conference yesterday where he introduced his team of advisers. The appointments themselves are mostly reasonable and include one veteran of the Bush administration. I’m not willing to say at this point that Obama will be a pro-growth president, but it isn’t looking all bad now. It is too early to tell, but I still believe he has the wrong instincts and will revert to taxing and spending once the crisis abates. At least he has finally said some things to reassure the market and it has responded with some incredible gains.

Obama’s Pro-Communist Counsel

I’ve been mostly calm and reflective lately, trying to think on the bright side of an Obama Presidency. Then I heard Obama comparing himself to Lincoln in the most arrogant and presumptuous way and I started to find more dirt about the man. The media is focusing on all of the bridge-building that Obama is doing as opposed to the more problematic appointments. Only the right-wing press is paying attention. I was right!

The performance of the stock market today is clear evidence that investors are fearful of an Obama Presidency. Here’s the scoop. Now if only more reporters were paying attention before the election! I am not happy to be right about this, but I do feel vindicated after so many people told me I was mistaken. I sincerely hope Obama does some smart things to reassure investors very soon.

Letter to the President-Elect

Dear Barack Obama. I did everything I could on my blog to paint you as an old-school left winger that lacked the experience, character and know-how to be the President. I still have many serious reservations about your Presidency. However, I am willing to give you a chance. I know this country needs change, and it is possible we can agree on a few things. I sincerely hope that everything I said on this blog will prove incorrect as you grow into the office.

We can agree that our nation needs a lot of help, especially in education. Do me a favor and read the cover story from this week’s Business Week by Michael Porter. He’s a Harvard guy like you and he seems to have the right ideas for a bipartisan economic plan. Here’s an excerpt that I think applies to you.

We need a strategy supported by the majority to secure America’s economic future. Yet Americans hear the same old divisive arguments…Democrats keep talking as if they want to penalize investment and economic success. They defend unions obstructing change in areas like education, cling to cumbersome regulatory approaches, and resist ways to get litigation costs for business in line with other countries. Democrats equivocate on trade in an irreversibly global economy. They seem to think social progress can be achieved only at the expense of business.

To make America competitive, we have to get beyond this thinking. Political leaders, business leaders, and civil society must begin a respectful, fact-based dialogue about our challenges. We need to focus on competitive reality, not defending past policies.

Ok, now get busy and study this article and invite Porter to be in your administration. He’s got the right stuff. Oh, and as far as international affairs, I recommend that you listen to those Bush people that are briefing you and please consult John McCain about Iraq and Afghanistan. He knows a lot of things that you don’t. Good luck. You’re going to need it!

Letter to John McCain

Dear John McCain. You have nothing to be ashamed of. You’re a great American and your country is not worthy of you as its leader. Instead of doing the sensible thing and electing you during a time of uncertainty and war, the electorate has opted for a toxic combination of feel-good identity politics and willful ignorance of the laws of economics. Obama will go down in history as the first President elected due to affirmative action. He’s not even half as qualified as you. Some Republicans will blame you for your loss by saying you’re not Conservative enough. They’re wrong. You were the right man for these times, and it is not your fault that a bunch of big-monied leftists managed to outspend you 3 to 1 and use every dirty trick in the book against you. In true Republican fashion, you efficiently spent your limited campaign budget and yielded many more votes per dollar spent when compared to the corrupt, do-anything-to-win, Democrat machine. In true Democrat fashion, they Obama campaign threw money away in the most reckless fashion and only wound up winning because of the black vote and the rotten legacy of George W. Bush.

Hold your head up high and keep fighting for the right things as Senator from Arizona. I’m behind you 100%.

Marxists pin hopes on Obama

On the eve of the elections, the global left is ecstatic that they just may get the US President that helps put an end to Capitalism. Many people ridicule the title of this blog, and I have never claimed that Obama is a solid Marxists. However, BO is the closest thing to a Communist since George McGovern (who wasn’t technically a communist either). It is undeniable how much support Obama has from the far left. The great Milton Friedman stated that beyond a doubt Capitalism and Freedom go hand in hand. The real question for Obama is “Do you believe in free people and free markets?” His rhetoric suggests that he really believes in suffocating business and property owners and eroding personal freedoms. My instincts tell me that the entire freedom agenda is under assault, and I only hope that I am wrong. I still have hope for a McCain miracle, but I now realize that I must adjust my expectations. Sigh.
